The cost of labour is going up .The Treasury has confirmed that the national living wage will increase from £10.42 to £11.44 an hour in April 2024. It will also apply to those aged 21 or 22, who currently earn the national minimum wage.
April’s rise in the national living wage will constitute the largest in over a decade. The pay rise constitutes over 10% for those receiving it, which is far ahead of the current inflation rate of 4.6%.
